Thank goodness someone was kind enough to point out to me that I was not following the directions correctly. I figured it was something I was doing wrong since no one else seemed to have this problem. What I was knitting was K2tog, K1, K2tog, K1, K2tog, etc., when it said K2tog, K1, K2tog, K2tog, K1, K2tog, K2tog, K1, etc.

I'm knitting my first Montavilla Market Bag and have run into a snag. The instructions for the base are to cast on 41 sts and knit in the woven stitch flat for 8 Inches. I've done that. Now the instructions tell you to change to a larger needle size and "K2tog, K1, K2tog; repeat from * to last st, K1: 25 sts. Now, here's where the problem comes in.
