Hello, The white dog is Bailey and Merlin is the golden. We rescued them years ago. Sadly enough the golden recently crossed over the rainbow bridge. We miss him dearly but were blessed to have him as long as we did.
I am knitting an afghan at the moment. I am not so much an accomplished knitter but I really enjoy it. My daughter-in-law started teaching me in late 2007 and then moved to Kentucky. I miss knitting with her and look forward to being able to do that again. My goodness, I have not moved forward since she left. I have been quilting for many years and it is my true passion.
Have a wonderful trip and enjoy the yarn shops :) btw, your projects are adorable!

Bravo. I thought I would like to do a pair a month this year and am already behind. I bought some yarn to knit baby leg warmies. How many stitches do you think I should cast on?

Shelley the blanket pattern is OpArt. I found it on Knitty... here. I also love knitting socks and have 1 pair on my needles. I love the Knit Picks needles and use the magic loop technique for my socks. I am focused on baby knitting right now as our 1st grandbaby is due in March. I just finished my first Baby Surprise Jacket and am still fascinated by that works. BTW, I am also a nurse, now enjoying retirement.

Thanks. He's an English Mastiff, my late-soulmate. Miss him a lot. He was a big boy, 215lbs.
