Socks socks and more socks! I have a really short attention span and I deal with that by knitting several projects at once. Right now, I'm working on an alpaca fair isle vest, and several paris of socks and "morning surf" scarf pattern from Spin-off magazine!

Go to this site, and it will take you right to the widdershin heel site.
http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/PATTwiddershins.html

If you follow her directions you can't go wrong. Also, click on: the author's blog, http://rhitsqueaky.blogspot.com/
then on the right side of the screen you will see her work chart..that shows all the math for ANY size foot!! It is my bible!! I printed 10 copies..fill in each sheet according to the weight of the sock yarn I'm using, then I can refer to it later. Give it a try and let me know how you do.

Hi Sharon,
You should join the Colorwork KAL if you want to learn fair isle. We're happy to help. My first fair isle project was the Red Light Special Hat by Jared Flood. It only calls for 4 balls of Telemark, and it's a free pattern, so the financial investment is minimal. I found the pattern to be well written and easy to follow too. Another idea is to wait another month or so, as we have a "Learn to Fair Isle Kit" in the October catalog that will be available in September.

Have fun, and do join the KAL!

HI! I don't golf, but I also love to knit and read - I knit a LOT of socks (mostly on the "magic loop" and mostly toe-up) and am also seriously lace-addicted! And as you might guse from my avatar photo (Kelly, my Border Terrier) I am a dog lover.
