Help! I knit a sweater vest for each of my grandsons and neither one of them fit--the neck opening will not stretch over their heads. What did I do wrong? How can I fix it? Any advice and/or help would be greatly appreciated.

My knitting needles have never been busier! But all the stockings are done and waiting in bags, in hopes that the feet they meet will stay toasty inside.

OK--that's enough of the rhyming stuff. I still have tons of things to do but it is made more difficult by the fact that I am still on crutches and can't carry things. It has been a while since my last blog post. Many things have happened. I have run into a block with my grandson's sweater vest and I just can't seem to get past it. The vest pattern itself was so easy to knit up, but the neck edging is causing a great disturbance in my life--I just can't seem to get it right and now I have frogged it so many times that I am afraid the neck edging will be too stretched. I can't believe how quickly the months fly by. I did start to think about Christmas presents already. I have so much to do! I have started 2 v-neck sweater vests--for each of my grandsons. I need to make 2 more family Christmas stockings and finish the socks I am currently knitting.
If I didn't have to work, I might get more done--NOT. Then I would be taking care of the children I dearly love.
I just ordered a sweater book and can't wait to get it. I hope the mail comes quickly.
