- I have taken up knitting again at the end of 2005 after having been taught by my mum (brave and patient and very deserving) in my early teens. Since then my fingers hardly stand still. During my 4 hours commute each day I usually knit two of those. Weekends go by doing chores and enjoying another project in the evenings watching TV or a movie. One or the other project is always in my bag, so Knitting In Public days are just "well, what's new".
Other hobbies: riding my motorbike, reading, walking our dog...

I've given up arguing with myself. I shall go public with this. Forgive my being sentimental. This is personal. But so is everything we create and gift.
Here is my prime example for that.
Today is my mom's 70th birthday. It will be her second in heaven. She's still and will remain to be sorely missed. Sometimes great people come in small "packages". My mom may not have been blessed with physical height, but her heart... oh, what can I say?! She taught me how to knit.…

With the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 coming up, I'm hosting an online Charity / Prayer KAL/CAL Party - right here, on Sunday, 9/11/11.

Yes, my dear friends, it's gone. My knitting block, that is. No more sitting around moping. No time for that. I have 4 prayer shawls to do - all in God's good timing. And I've cast on for another pair of socks, with the Tidal Wave socks done (yeay).
