About Me:
I have taken up knitting again at the end of 2005 after having been taught by my mum (brave and patient and very deserving) in my early teens. Since then my fingers hardly stand still. During my 4 hours commute each day I usually knit two of those. Weekends go by doing chores and enjoying another project in the evenings watching TV or a movie. One or the other project is always in my bag, so Knitting In Public days are just "well, what's new".
Other hobbies: riding my motorbike, reading, walking our dog...

Lent 2015

Posted on February 15, 2015 at 6:42am 4 Comments

It's that time of the year again - Lent.

In the past few years, I've found lent really lovely in the run up to Easter, especially with the online prayer shawl group I'm in usually making a KAL / CAL for prayer shawls. It helps me remember what this season is about, remember the word and promise God gave me for the prayer shawl ministry (of one, at the time) at our church, and pass on the love that God put into my heart to share around.

This year, I've signed up for one prayer…

I've given up arguing with myself. I shall go public with this. Forgive my being sentimental. This is personal. But so is everything we create and gift.

Here is my prime example for that.

Today is my mom's 70th birthday. It will be her second in heaven. She's still and will remain to be sorely missed. Sometimes great people come in small "packages". My mom may not have been blessed with physical height, but her heart... oh, what can I say?! She taught me how to knit.…

10th Anniversary 9/11 - Charity / Prayer KAL/CAL Party

Posted on August 28, 2011 at 4:41am 13 Comments

With the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 coming up, I'm hosting an online Charity / Prayer KAL/CAL Party - right here, on Sunday, 9/11/11.

Yarn, pattern and project are knitter's / crocheter's choice.

Pay it forward to whomever you feel is in need of a knitted / crocheted hug.

This one day, nearly 10 years ago, has affected many even if we may not know anyone personally whose life was lost.

There's only one request from my side - as angry, sad, upset or…
