Finished Sylvia's Sweater

Posted on August 19, 2009 at 10:30pm 3 Comments

Well it has been a while since I have been on my blog. I finished the sweater for my Mother-in-Love several weeks ago but just found the pictures and thought I should get these posted. It turned out GREAT!

Another Work in Progress. The sweater is progressing nicely. I have class tomorrow and will keep posting pics of… Continue

Warm feet are an Awesome gift!

I finished these today. I love them. I am amazed at how much the felting process changed them. I will probably live in these. I am going to crank out a bunch of them for Christmas gifts too. Warm feet are a great gift. I used Fiber Trends felt clogs pattern and Patons Classic Wool in That's Pink (two strands), Chestnut Brown (two strands) and some mystery cream colored yarn (one strand of cream and one strand of brown) for the inner…

Hats make good practice projects!

Well this is an old addage that I just re-visited. The Sweater class I started last week seemed to be going okay. I knit left handed so I had to overcome a couple of challenges right away. I had a tough time getting guage, so went from the suggested size 7 needles down to a 5. About three inches into the sweater I re-checked guage....too loose again....frog...frog...frog. I cast on and knit the first couple of inches 5 times and couldn't get it right. I finally went back down to Swatches to… Continue

Started a Sweater class

Posted on June 7, 2009 at 11:20pm 2 Comments

I started a sweater class yesterday. I'm making a neck down summer cardigan from Knitting Pure and Simple. The yarn I am using is Plymouth Yarn, Royal Llama Linen in a lovely shade of green. I am knitting this for my mother in law and so far it is looking very nice.

Laura, thanks for the advice. My sister is the expert on socks and I helped her figure out the magic loop case on and we both love it. I agree top up is the way to go. When your done your done.
