My swatch taught me much, and the measurements are right, so I've begun the sleeves (each on separate needles).
It was so much fun to knit this project while watching the Vancouver 2010 Olympics! I was thrilled to see how the mountains on the TV looked just like the mountains in the sweater pattern!

This week, she got good news that there's no sign of cancer left.
I was going for sections of yellow over layed with turquoise and blue, to obtain two greens. However, when I attemped to transfer it to my heatsource, crockpot, the dyes ran through the whole piece and it bacame one gorgeous semi solid of forest green with deep blue sections. Beautiful but wrong. :-(
guess what, I'll have to buy another skein. My friend really like the test swatch I sowed her, no next time, I'm going to go easy on the dark colors and maybe set the yellow before applying the blues.
