Grandmother of 9. The ninth to be born on Nov. 19th! Mother of 3, two sons, one daughter. Husband retired military, Marines AND Army (oh, my goodness!) I am retired now and enjoying knitting, taking piano lessons again, painting in watercolor and oils and reading. These are my hobbies. I ride a stationary bike to keep in some modicum of "shape" and walk my little companion, a min. poodle, Twinkle. I didn't name her! I sing in the choir at church and enjoy any and all kinds of music. I have a good friend who is an up and coming country star, Amanda Shires. If you like country music, or violin music, please check out her website. She can really play that violin although she calls it a"fiddle. "
Hello! I was at my mom's for a few days, so I was out of internet land, lol. I got a pair of fingerless gloves done while I was there, and I'm about to start on a scarf for her too. How have you been and what kind of fun interesting things do you have on the needles?
Oh, don't I know how soon Christmas is coming up! I want to do some fingerless gloves, but I'm having problems deciding on how many sts. to cast on. My friend whom the gloves will be for is a rather large lady who has a little bit larger hands (tho not wrists, I think) than myself. I have checked a few patterns and they all have a different number of cast on sts. and needle sizes, not to mention that the actual # of cast on sts. does not correlate in any way to the size of the needle. I am so confused right now I'm pretty much just staring blankly into the compy screen. Any light you could shed on the situation would be very appreciated!
Hi there! Nice to meet you. I have just finished a pair of socks for my sister for christmas and am starting a pair of fingerless gloves for a friend who has a birthday in a few days. Then I have a scarf for my mom that needs to be done and a whole lot more christmas presents that need to be thought up, lol. Wow, it sounds like you're keeping yourself busy!
