It's been gorgeous in East Tn all day until now, we are under Tornado and Severe Thunder Storm Warning until 10pm :(
So far for xmas, Ive finished 2 hats, a cowl and a scarf. I got the Lace Sampler kit for the Chinook Lace Shawl in the mail yesterday so I'm getting ready to wind yarn!
I am reluctant to take knitting on the plane. I am never absolutely SURE they won't take my needles away. This trip I didn't even pack enough knitting. I had bought some yarn at a box store to make socks. Then the yarn, knitting bag and needles all went thru the laundry. Yarn survived. Harmony needles did not. I went off to find another project. It just wasn't a knitting trip.
Home now and ready to knit.
Just wanted to let you know I did not fall off the face of the planet! I have taken two small trips, am riding quite a bit, and now our daughter her hubby and their two kids have moved in. They are living with us for a couple of months so they can buy a house and have more of a down payment. That has made us very busy for sure. I have not had any time to knit and it is making me crazy - lol.
I am still working on a baby blanket and a scarf with the fan and feather pattern. It is quite pretty. Do you have a picture of your sweater? I would love to see it. I will be starting a pair of socks soon, I am one of those multi projects type people.
We will be going camping for a week so I will have some time to knit then. We have a motorhome and I can keep my projects all clean in there.
The horses are wonderful. I am going to work my 17month old today. He is learning his ground work - the more you do on the ground the better it is in the saddle. I had a blast at the horse training clinic I went to last weekend. I really enjoy watching Clinton Anderson train horses. I got to meet and hang with some of his staff this weekend and that was a realy treat.
I work in Monmouth with The Ron Wilson Center. I run a home for 5 Mentally Retarded/Down's Syndrome clients. I love my job so much and I can't believe that it has been 2 years since I started working there. My hours are flexible so I can be a Grandma and the wife of a retired person without compromising my work.
How did it go with your little doggy? Do they know what is causing the skin trouble yet? Poor little guy.
I am still working on a baby blanket (got bored with it so took a break) and a scarf from one of the free patterns on this site. I changed the needle size though - the beauty of the pattern was not showing up like I wanted. I just hope I have enough yarn for it.

Take care and write when you can.

Talk at you soon,

Work was crazy last week, my laptop was down, and then I was in KFalls for the weekend at a horse clinic!
Sorry to leave you hanging - I am back and my lap top is back too!
