About Me:
I am a beginner knitter, started September 2009.....and I am loving it!!!! I took up knitting after my father asked for knitted socks and I had to pay 20.00 for a pair, so I decided to take up knitting and my 1st project was a pair of socks for him.....I did fine and he is wearing them proudly.....I am now addicted to knitting and find it very relaxing......

It seems like I always have a KP order, needles , yarns etc, it is fun to look forward to getting the package, you would not think I needed yarn, I could open my own yarn shop, But the new yarns are so tempting, I have some that are not as nice. Enjoy your needles, Irene

Yes, just love all the Harmony needles, now I am working on getting all the 16 inch needles, I have gotten a few, like you I don't want to over buy at one time, I know there are more expensive needles out there but sure love those, so glad you found such a nice shop, it will be fun to go and see the yarns and feel them and if she lets you smell them. Weather is so bad, Causeway is closed

Okay, we didn't get the snow we were expecting, but the wind is sure picking up and they have closed the Canso Causeway, at first it was escorted one way traffic, and now it is closed. The wind is so bad that the spray from the ocean is causing the driving conditions to be bad going across.
Terrible, but I will take the wind over the snow any day, even with the Causeway closed. But all the people that work late on this side and are from the Nova Scotia side can't get home....boy the hotels are g… Continue

Here comes the snow.....Oh no!

Okay, so this morning it is snowing here in wonderful Cape Breton, they say we are going to get 10cm's, I hope it doesn't stay....which I am sure it won't. I guess it was wishful thinking that it would stay away until Christmas....LOL
With the snow here, I guess it is time to work on that afghan that is sitting there, and some nice toasty warm socks....cause I would say it is going to be a long, cold, winter....
