First Stash Buster!!

Posted on January 25, 2009 at 5:09pm 5 Comments

Just finished my first “real” stash-buster of the year. Have made a couple of hats earlier. It is a sweater for my neighbour’s daughter. Got all excited about the prospect of “having” to go out and get some yarn, then had a stern talking to myself and suggested I probably would have some yarn upstairs. Wow, wouldn’t you know it, I do have a couple of extra balls of yarn up there (like one or two…or fifty…or a hundred…).

It was fun making up a pattern — that actually worked the first… Continue

As I was typing that last comment to you, #2 daughter muttered "Wicked sheep." They didn't really have fun. To many bumps and bangs from the ones that didn't want to hold still. Then there were the ones that didn't want to stand. All in all, it is a day's work.
I'll be glad to give any help I can, just let me know!
Oh, and always remember to have fun with it all.

Hi! I don't just have too much yarn, I'm overflowing in everything (including children according to #4 Daughter who is reading over my shoulder). We (actually daughters 1,2 &4) just sheared our 8 sheep. Llama wasn't done this year. And fleece from last two years haven't had much done from them. :0 Well, a little here, a little there...someday! :) Thanks for picking me as a friend.

thanx for the wishes, it was fun too, my son and DL and I went to the celebrations in the park and had some good chinese food. I could not walk the rest of the day, and was in incredible pain, but I really enjoyed the day

Lena,
Thank you so much for being my friend. You certainly don't look old
enough to be the mother of that great looking guy. I had a border
collie many, many many years ago. His name was MacTavish (Mac)
for short and he was a lovely dog. Honey is a girl, about 2 years old.
She was horribly abused and about 9 months old when I got her. She
was terrified when I got her. She is the sweetest most loving dog I have
ever known. She just cannot get enough cuddles. I love that picture
of her napping in her crate. It really shows her goofiness. She make
me laugh a lot. She's great company when I feel lousy. -- judith

Lena: If her regular proofreader is unavailable sometime and I can't do it, I'll let her know. Her nom de plume is "Nicole Jordan." Ever read any of her stuff. The stories are good, but I wouldn't read all the steamy stuff if I weren't paid for it. A little TMI! --P
