Good morning.

This morning a friend told me that my caps are an art form. I never worried one way or the other about art form versus craft: Partially because I am most concerned about making a cap that sells and will not be regretted by the buyer/wearer.

But the words have cropped this week, again, and I am wondering about it.

Good morning.

The weather here on the Oregon coast has been jumping through hoops. One day last week, we had rain, snow, sunshine, cloudy skies, semi-cloudy skies with a little bit of sunshine. The only thing we have not had lately is high wind. But it is all good weather to sit inside and knit while an old movie is playing.

Good morning.

I have not written much on either of my blogs for some time. Sometimes, things just get in the way of doing what I want to do. Things like: bills need to be paid, the septic tank backing up into the kitchen sink, a birthday, getting groceries. You know the list. I really thought retirement meant that I would be able to sit in my comfy chair, knit and watch old movies. But every once in a while, I guess, you just have to pause and take care of other things.

Good morning:

Yesterday was a pretty quiet day. Karen and I did some photographing in the morning and then she went to her shop. I sat and knit. On Saturday, we went to Lincoln City and I got some new yarn at Nestucca Bay Yarns. So yesterday afternoon I had my face in some of the new yarn. Have a cap cast on and the ribbing and about 2 inches of the body done.

Good morning:

This is all pretty new to me, but I have wanted to be part of a knitting community for a long time. Am not driving any more so my activities are limited by distance and weather. Now I feel like I can talk with other knitters again. That makes me smile, especially when I discovered my friend Yarnwench was on this site, too. She had the yarn store in Toledo where I shopped at when I was still driving.
