About Me:
I'm a Christian and a high school Social Studies and German teacher who lives in Southern Illinois. A friend of mine just recently taught me how to knit, and I'm now working on my first real project, a Gryffindor scarf (probably more than 3/4 finished)! So far I love it, and I can't believe how relaxing it is! I've found that I love to sit and knit while watching a favorite movie, listening to a radio program, or a favorite show on TV!

I'm currently knitting the "Seaweed" Throw from Kristin Spurkland's The Knitting Man(ual). I put the word seaweed in quotes because it was given that title for the color she knit it in, but I'm using City Tweed Poseidon instead. So far, I LOVE it! Here are some pictures of what I've got so far!

The pattern isn't as visible in the pictures as it is in person, but I think you can get the overall idea (especially in the last picture).…

Yes, I did teach German. That was a long time ago, but I keep up with it by watching Tagesschau on my iPad.

Sounds like you and my friend Rob Follett have a lot in common. He's here as Rob Follett and at Ravelry as snidget41. I used to teach German, too. I'm retired now, though. Happy knitting! --P

Thanks for reminding me, Drew! I'd forgotten about the Google thing, and that's exactly what she said! As a matter of fact, I think I got an email from some man (name-wise anyway) talking about making money on Google...similar to this one.
