About Me:
I'm very new to knitting - as an adult that is. My grandmother taught me the basics when I was about 10yrs old. Now, 41yrs later, I've picked up the knitting needles again. So, I bought some books, watched Knitty Gritty, and practiced, practiced, practiced. So far I've made the same sweater 3 different times ... and I still can't find a "human" that is able to wear any of them - hee, hee.

During the fall & winter months I quilt ... and in the spring & summer I work on my garden during the day, and knit at night. I'm married the kindest man I'll ever meet. We have 2 sons, 2 daughters, and 7 grandchildren.

" STRESS "

Posted on April 3, 2009 at 8:15pm 3 Comments

I recently received an e-mail from my sister-in-law - and there was this adorable little saying at the end of it. I've decided to adopt this approach and smile as I walk away.

" Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
Pee on it and walk away. "

This has absolutely nothing to do with knitting - I just think it's a riot.

Hi Donna! I knew you from the Iowa Group on Quilt with Us!!!! I'm like you. I learned to knit with the help of mom and grandma, then had children, full time jobs and lots of life getting in the way. Now that I'm retired and have time on my hand and we seem to be on the road alot, as well as the new resurgence of knitting, I'm back at it. I've made a ton of dishcloths and am moving on now to a baby blanket for 4 mo. old DGD. So far so good. The new wools are just scrumptious and I don't seem to be allergic to them like the old wools for years ago.

So glad to reconnect with you!
