That just takes practice. If you can do Magic Loop, you can do DPNs, but I know a lot of people who really love one technique and really hate the other. Good luck with it, and remember if it's not fun, you can always go back to the other way of doing things. :)

Bummer about your dpn; I don't dare try even the Harmony circular needles because I tend to bend other brand wood/bamboo needles (didn't think I gripped the left needle that hard, but apparently I do). I used dpns in the past, but found them too frustrating to juggle; thank heavens someone came up with 2 socks on 2 circs. Happy knitting!

Since then I have made two scarves in a basketweave pattern and currently working on a simple Curtain Call Shrug pattern I located on the Lion brand site. I want to learn all I can now that I have started knitting. Someday want to learn to cable too.

I have been knitting most of my life. I learned from my Mom, and have taught my daughter, so we are a multi-generational knitting family. In the last few years I have discovered socks and lace, and usually have at least one project of each on the needles. Add in baby gifts, sweaters for me, and a willingness to try almost anything, my knitting keeps me busy.
