Thanks for the info, I'll make the cable's a little smaller! Yeah I was just being an idiot about the patter, I figured it out now :)

Hey, I was admiring your cable cuffs and was hoping you could help me out with my pair! How do you make them seem like there is no ribbing on the outside? do you just fold it over? Thanks!

Among all my WIP's, socks don't happen to figure....they're so quick. (Mind you, I finished the last pair just last night, after they had hung around for a couple of months. How's that for serendipity? Good luck; how about making a deal with yourself.......finish an old sock, knit the new one to the heel, the instep, the toe, whatever? Alma

Your question about DPNs. The hardest things about them is learning what to ignore and getting the tension just right as you change needles. That just takes practice. If you can do Magic Loop, you can do DPNs, but I know a lot of people who really love one technique and really hate the other. Good luck with it, and remember if it's not fun, you can always go back to the other way of doing things. :)

Cool ruffles on your sock pic! Bummer about your dpn; I don't dare try even the Harmony circular needles because I tend to bend other brand wood/bamboo needles (didn't think I gripped the left needle that hard, but apparently I do). I used dpns in the past, but found them too frustrating to juggle; thank heavens someone came up with 2 socks on 2 circs. Happy knitting!

Oh thank you for the help you made it a little more understandable. But you are right about working on a swatch first until I can get this pattern worked out.
For now I will continue to work on the Two Socks on two needles I am getting pretty comfortable doing those. Thanks again

Hi,

I am just stopping in to say Hello and see if you would be interested in a new knitting friend? I have been a hobbiest and crocheter since I was 7 years old. Just a few months ago a friend of mine taught me to knit and purl. I am hooked!

Since then I have made two scarves in a basketweave pattern and currently working on a simple Curtain Call Shrug pattern I located on the Lion brand site. I want to learn all I can now that I have started knitting. Someday want to learn to cable too.

Drop me a note if you are interested in a new knitting friend. Have a great day...

About Me:
I have been knitting most of my life. I learned from my Mom, and have taught my daughter, so we are a multi-generational knitting family. In the last few years I have discovered socks and lace, and usually have at least one project of each on the needles. Add in baby gifts, sweaters for me, and a willingness to try almost anything, my knitting keeps me busy.
