Yes, got the wonderful phone call (well actually 4 of them) last night around 11 that due to inclement weather and icy roads that, yes indeed, schools would be closed today! Of course I was still awake by 6am so decided around 0630 to go ahead and get up instead of lying awake in bed. Looked out the front window and sure enough everything is covered in ice.

It snowed last night and it looks so pretty! I am still such an Iowa girl at heart and it never seems like Christmas to me until it snows. It is only supposed to be 2-4 inches today so it is nothing like what they are getting in Iowa but it is enough to see it falling and accumulate!

This is Lydia's first completed project. She was sooo excited! She has started many projects but not finished them. Now she is making a k3p3 scarf for her brother who is in the military. She misses him so much.

mmmm....probably not. I got home at 0650 this morning after taking hubby to a friends house so he could catch a ride to Springfield for a political meeting....glad it is him and not me! ~smile~ Filled the car with gas and got a cup of coffee so I could spend some nice quiet time on here BEFORE the 8 and 11 yo woke up. Opened the door to see them BOTH up and watching TV. Really??? I can't even get the 11 yo up before 7 during the school week to get ready for school on time!
