- I have been knitting for many years off and on. I started knitting this time on socks. It has been so much fun with the self-patterning yarn . That is something new to me and it is like a puzzel just waiting to see what is next.
The other thing I can hardly wait to try out is dying my own yarn. It looks like so much fun!
Update! I did my first dying with a sock blank. The yarn turn out just beautifully with bright colors. Since I've over dyed 15 balls of wool and linen a beautiful turquoise and it is wonderful. I'd had this icky pink yarn for years and just couldn't bring myself to knit it. I love pink but this just wasn't a good color. Now I have my turquoise sweater half finished.
The Jacquard dye is so easy and the colors are terrific, give it a try.
