About Me:

Engineer, CEO of Copper Creek Companies (one Division is a communication/marketing group specializing in the technical professions, the second Division is a specialty construction company for anti-slip and anti-icing products)
I LOVE to knit - it is my passion and my escape after 70+ hour work weeks. My favorite is lace-weight shawls, but I am getting hooked on the concept of design by beginning to explore the expertise and antics of Elizabeth Zimmerman. I also have begun a passion for socks on two needles and look forward to exploring Magic Loop.
I am a Leo - and exemplify the sign. Strong, loud, opinionated, etc., etc. As you can see from my pic, I am a lumpy old frog, very royal in nature. But I also have a talent for patience and teaching. I am currently “encouraging” my twelve year old granddaughter to knit (before she becomes a teenager!)

Can you say "swine flu" without coughing... I can't. Have had a terrible bout with this "porker" of a flu bug. It was so bad that I did not knit for a week... and even my husband noticed! I am woefully behind on Christmas knitting, the Mystery Colorwork KAL, and more.

KP Market Bag Pattern to the Rescue

For my birthday this year, my daughter and granddaughter decided to give me yarn. Of course, being "newbie" knitters, they went to a big-box store and bought what looked expensive (to them). Knit Picks Customer Service

I have to give Knit Picks Customer Service FIVE STARS again! On April 17th, I ordered several Harmony needle tips, but only got around to using my size 8s this past week. I screwed them onto my cable, started knitting and just couldn't figure out what was wrong with my knitting that day... it was like I was just out of sync! Knitting in Public (Saturday!!!)

Hey - is everyone ready to knit in public tomorrow??? I think it would be great to have everyone take a picture of their "Knitting in Public" experience.
It would be a great idea for someone to start a Knitalong or Discussion where we all could post our photos???
