About Me:
I am a homeschooling mom of two teens. I have a part-time proofreading job (for court reporters located in different parts of the country). I was a court reporter for 20 years, hence the move into part-time work.

I love to knit socks, two on one needle, prayer shawls with the Suri Dream yarn. Finding time to knit right now is very frustrating - but I squeeze it in when I can! I also love to felt projects. My tea-drinking friend and I knitted tea cozies this past winter with the Wool of the Andes heather yarn and they turned out beautifully!

What part of Virginia are you going to? I lived in 5 parts of Virginia. My father was in construction & we traveled alot as you could imagine. Socks are a good traveling project to have on a trip.
GOD BLESS!!! I will pray for a safe trip to & from!!

Hi Cheryl,
What are u knitting? I just finished my 1st pair of socks on 2 circulars. I love that method. Today I'm going to cast on my 2nd JeanTownend sock. Do them on 4 DPN.s. Going out of town for a few days. Much needed. Will check out some of the fiber stores up there.

What size needles do you use for that prayer shawl?

Yes Cheryl, ML is magic loop. I love to knit socks but only one at a time. I haven't tried the 2 at a time yet. I want to try a prayer shawl too.
Hope to hear from you soon. Have you got pictures of your prayer shawls?
Have a wonderful day.

My sister sent me some patterns for prayer shawls. I really enjoyed them. I'm getting ready to teach myself how to knit on two circulars.(socks). Thereis a place on knit picks that shows you how to do it. I think i will caught on pretty easy. Keep on knitting!
