Hi, SG, Thanks for letting me know about Jimmy Beans web site. It looks like they have a great selection of yarns and their prices are good. The GGH-Aspen looks like nice yarn, Kiwi is pretty color. Let me know how you like working with it. I am working with old Mohair yarn from my inherited stash. I am using it to do the peace of mind scarf. It is a harder pattern than the Julia, stitches are same except each pattern row is different, thank god for the ws purl every other row. Anyway , the mohair :I would have never chosen if I did not already have it. It's too fuzzy for me. But one thing about it is that if the yarn slips off your needle, the stitches remain in tact and it is easy to pick them up. Hope you are enjoying a relaxing knitting weekend. Happy knitting!

Hi, Bonnie!
The yarn is GGH-Aspen-26-Kiwi that I got from Jimmy Beans. It has arrived and I hope to start the scarf this weekend. My oldest GS will start on 8/18. My 2yr old GS I'm not sure when he starts. My opion he's too young to go. Happing Knitting!

Bonnie, the yarn I bought is from Jimmy Beans. Hope it's ok to say that? This is a first time order from them. Usually if I order it's Peaches/Cream and Lionbrand. More often than not I buy at Hobby Lobby here. Do you have a favorite LYS/web for getting fiber? I will of course, in time try "Our" Knitpicks fiber. I have to many WIP I need to finish. Happy knitting:)

Hi, Bonnie! I'm not too computer smart lol so please excuse any mistakes I make. I've been knitting/crocheting for a real long time , but still learning. Wasn't sure what to do about yarn. Yes, cashmere is expensive unless mixed with other fibers. Anyway got in a hurry and spent most of yesterday hunting for a yarn with the same gauge. Found one? Hope it works lol! Ordered it and it's on the way. The yarn is GGH-Aspen-26-Kiwi. Have a nice evening!

Thank you. I well remember the frustration of trying to learn to knit lace on my own by trial and error; one of the things I was hoping to do with "Wrapped in Comfort" was to create the book I'd wished for back in the day. Practicing the stitch first was a good idea; you'll find it gets easier and more instinctive as you go along.

Love working with good quality yarn and trying new sock patterns. Also enjoy painting in watercolors, pastels and oils when not knitting.
