Beth, that's great that your daughter is coming in so soon. I know you will really have a good time with her. I would love to visit Nova Scotia sometime. Perhaps we might get that way in the near future. If we do, I'll let you know.

Beth, I just checked out your site on webshots. I left a message for Brooke and for Quincy. You and Doug make a lovely couple. And to see you, your mom and your daughter together, it's amazing how much you look alike.

Hi again Beth: Well, after talking to you I saw an add about the Tall Ships in Halifax this summer. I have always wanted to see them and could not go when they were in Vancouver. Anyway, this year is my husband and my 35th Anniversary and we have almost decided to go to Halifax this year. He has never been, I was there in 1972.

Yes, Nova Scotia is a very beautiful province--and the people are so friendly. There are so many lovely and historical sites to visit. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed four days. We were living in Vancouver, BC at the time--a truely spectacular place. And, in the 70x was very ethnically similar to Nova Scotia. After 13 years, we returned to the US and live in Texas--great friendly people, distinctly different climate! I learned to spin, dye and weave in Vancouver--great place! Best wishes

Hi Beth
Would like to chat some more. We have a lot of the same interests. I love knitting and crocheting. Do lots of things for my Grandchildren and others. I visited Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in 1972. I have always wanted to go back. I tell everyone that Nova Scotia is the most beautiful province, in my eyes, in Canada. I have visited all the provinces since 1970. I was born and raised in Ontario, My favourite place there is Muskoka, my Grandparents lived there. I hope to go back to Nova Scotia in the near future for another holiday. It is just beautiful.

My grandfather was born in St. Thomas and emigrated to the U.S. with his family when he was 5 in 1900. His father was David Allan and came to Canada from Scotland -- not sure when. I have been in St. Catherines before - lovely town.

Hello....my maiden name was Allan and my grandfather emigrated to the U.S. from Ontario - his father came from Paisley, Scotland. Maybe we are related? I don't find many people in the U.S. that spell Allan with an 'a' -- usually only an 'e' -- but I know there are many more with this spelling in Canada.

I would love to visit Nova Scotia someday. I do charity knitting on Mondays. My knit shop owner supplies the yarn, needles, and patterns and we drop in on Monday as we have time and knit. The items are donated around Christmas time for Children of our local spouse abuse center. It gives me a warn fuzzy feeling to do something worthwhile.
