Thanks! I was so busy figuring out how to post the photo that I forgot to check who I was replying to! Water Turtles is on my list, but I'm not sure if it's next or now. I can't remember which yarn I ordered!!
I was waiting until Stitches East to purchase a nice swift to wind my Lisa Souza yarn into a pretty ball, but then figured..."WHAT am I waiting for???!!!" I carefully wound my yarn into a ball and began my Julia shawl last week. I am now on row 19 and doing well. After those first couple of rows, the beautiful pattern began to appear when I held the shawl on the curve of the needle. I told my husband I feel like a little kid who just learned how to do a cartwheel! If someone told me a year ago that I would be knitting lace, I never would have believed them. Thank you so much, Alison!
Blessings,
Lisa
I just finished the Constance Shawl using KP gloss. It is now being blocked and I am so proud of it. It is the 2nd shawl I made from WIC the first was more of a practice piece using very old mohair I had been given. I am anxious to see how my Constance does with blocking. I would love to give it to my Mom for her birthday if it turns out nice. That is if it is not too too big for her. I did three pattern repeats on the constance which seemed to be big enough before blocking. I know it will be longer than the suggest pattern length. This pattern was so much fun to do. I would definitely make another using a different yarn.
