Here is my current favorite - he sits on my desk & guards it from thieves.

In your fort yarn?
Ooops, classic Freudian slip. *Front Yard* as in literally along my street.
♥L who is obviously more enamoured by yarn than film stars...

I see it's available in the Kindle version. I may have to get it!
This is probably the cutest "party animal" I have seen!
I guess you really do 'HavetoomuchYarn' if you can make a fort out of it - lol!
I used to give mine beer all the time. Of course, I processed it first. It is supposed to make really good breast milk. I imagine this was taken for Gramps' sake. Isn't this one of the brands you carted over state lines? At least she's not passed out on the lovely quilt her granny made.

Lena, congrats on the job! And when do we get to see your "fort yarn"? ♥c, she who always has to re-type her DH's name. It is always has to be corrected from "knig" to "King". She, too, must have knitting on the brain.
At least you didn't type "Queen!" Actually, her Daddy likes beer, too, but as they said, she was born in the beer Capitol of Wisconsin--La Crosse!
Hey, nothing wrong with that. Is there some sort of contest for the beer queen? Luling, TX is noted for watermelons. This is the weekend they crown the Thump Queen. How would you like to be able to put that on your resume?
Better than..."dump queen?" or "stump queen?" or "bump queen?"
I'm not too sure that it is better than any of those. It's really fun to watch people in the grocery stores trying to "thump" the watermelons. I love to listen to them talking about how they think it is supposed to be done.

To thumb a watermelon, take your open hand, fingers together and slap it leaving your hand down. If it is ripe, you should be able to feel it resonate back. If it just sort of thuds, it's not ripe. You don't thump by flicking a finger on it.
You don't use your thumb to thump?
That would make sense, wouldn't it?
