Please join me for a UFO KAL Party
Christmas is drawing near and the UFOs are piling up. Let's get together and do something about while having fun.
All day Friday, all around the world, every time zone, so come and check in when you're around / have time. There are bound to be people around. And what's better than get together, have a great knitter natter and a party at the same time?!
I'm bringing coffee (so far) and will think of something else. Now all I have to do is go through those flying saucers (UFOs) and see which one wants to get caught and a little closer to getting finished.

Maria, I'll be dropping in. I was planning to be more involved in Peggy's after party, but work has been managing to get in the way lately.

You might need to check with Peggy. Kate is having to screen blogs because there has been so much spam lately. Peggy's was screened before posting so she may have some tricks. Or are we just doing it here in this discussion?
Aw darn! I am going to miss all the fun!

I will be out of town and without a computer, (we're taking the monkeys to visit the mouse- I hope that's not a mistake) but I will be here with all of you in spirit!!! Have lots of fun and I'm sure plenty of UFO's will get the attention they need.

Maria this is a very cool idea. Wouldn't it be neat if you started a yearly tradition doing this? :o) - knitter natter - that reminds me, I have to finish something regarding the knitter gits natter corner! lol
Wendy, so sad you can't make it. Let's see if anybody else is interested. Maybe we can do another day if it's more convenient to everybody else.

Cheryl, I was thinking of doing it in this thread. It's open and can be reached by everybody and easily overseen. You think the KP lovelies would mind?
Sounds perfect to me!
Maria, I think you should leave it as you have it set up. It does sound like lots of fun! I'll be thinking of you, and pretend I am knitting along with all of you. Who knows, maybe I'll even get time to knit later at night. It has happened once or twice after getting back from the kingdom!

Cheryl - save me some pound cake ! lol Sounds delicious.
Will do!
Wendy, seeing the replies, I'm actually quite stunned how well this is taking off. I'll have to write to Kate to be sure KP are fine with this and see what we can do to let this run itself as much as possible. I'd hate to cause more work than KP already have, especially just before Christmas.

You will be truly missed. Things are simply not the same without you. But I'm sure we can arrange for something like this more often, if we wanted to. With the help of the lovely staff at KP, of course.
Awesome idea...I'll be off that day, so I can devote a lot of time to ufos..and hangin' with my KP buds..I'll bring some cookies shall I?
I think this time, I might do cake. Certainly is cold enough outside to bake a pound cake. It takes 90 minutes to bake. That will warm up the kitchen.
Cookies would be great.
Yeah, my problem is at the moment that I would really love to bake a cake or something, but our oven has crossed the jordan, so it's the stove or grill - Coming to think of it, I think I could whip up some Toast Hawaii - toast with ham, pineapple and covered with cheese. That would be perfect! Maybe I'll think of something else before then. Let's see. Sooo happy you can join as well. :)
I have never heard of that! Sounds wonderful... I should get you a recipe for Raisin Griddle Cookies. You mix them up like biscuits, but cook them stovetop on a griddle. Wonderfully delicious!
I would like to join in on the UFO party, but I will have to wait till after I get off work on the 11th, which will be about 5pm CST. But the party can start before that and I'll just pop in when I can. :)
