OMGoodness Cheryl...what an awesome job...looks soft and lush...

Spin on ...

Thanks, Camilla. I'm very happy with Lissa.

Well I left a reply somewhere......... but I don't see it anywhere, so I'll say something similar.

Wonderful!  It looks very nice.  I'm glad to hear you are having so much fun with your new baby :o)

Well done Cheryl :) It looks lovely. What are you going to knit with it? xx

Thanks, Lulu. It hasn't told me yet. With the second skein, I have a total of about 188 yds. Right now, I'm so obssessed with the spinning, I'm not sure I will be knitting anything with it right away. Today I'm going to ply some BFL that Wendy dyed for me. It is really turning out nice. Then I think I will try my hand at some angora as I have numerous Christmas stockings I need to get done this year. I would like to use my own angora in some of them.

Job well done Cheryl, glad to hear you had a good time spinning.  Continue the good work and enjoyment.

Thanks, Phyllis. Glad you made it to your new home safely.

Here is what happened to what Wendy sent me, beginning with my singles:

Then I got a little over zealous and tried my hand at coils.

They are so much fun:

And here is what I ended up with (about 71 yds of bliss):

Aww Cheryl, I love it!  You have no idea how happy this made me when you said you were going to spin this BFL.  I like the fact you were "a little over zealous"  because I have not had the nerve to even try coils yet.  So, good for you!

How did you like working with the BFL?  Did it draft easily for you?  What did you like better, the birdnests or the mini batts?  I like the color and your final plied yarn, but do you like the color?  I've wondered after I sent it to you if maybe I had overblended the colors.

BTW - please tell your DH I send Happy Birthday greetings and salutations!  And that I say it's good to be "King" - lol.   I hope he has had as enjoyable day as I did here.  :o)

He had a very nice birthday. 3 of 4 were here this evening. The 4th one was at work and will stop by tomorrow. It's always so had to get all 4 together at one time. With one a nurse, it's even hard on all holidays.

Glad to hear you had a lovely birthday.

I know what you mean about trying to get them all together at one time.  It's hard.  DD#1 was going to come home this weekend for my birthday, but when we got home from vacation last weekend, DD#2 suggested celebrating then since they were both home, and since she would not be able to come home this weekend.  Then factoring in the price of gas, DH and I thought we'd rather not have them even attempt driving home.  Just too darned expensive!

Just eating at home with all of them is expensive!

So true!  I'm glad your DH had such a nice day  :o)
