So who's going? Are you taking any classes or attending any special events?

I was lucky enough to survive the registration process with the 2 classes I wanted, as well as the 2 events I wanted to attend. I'll be taking Charlene Schurch's class Top-down Socks That Use Up All the Yarn (because I'm a stubborn top down sock knitter who loves Charlene Schurch) and Anna Zilboorg & Tina Newton's Colorful Stitches class. I also really wanted to take a Cookie A's class but I decided not to push it! I'm also attending the opening night reception and the Luminary Panel.

Also, the mayor of Portland officially declared it Sock Knitting Week!

Ooooh, I have Woolly Wormhead's Going Straight with all their hats. Glad you pointed this out to add to my collection.
Pointed, as in pointed hats?
You got it!
This is a GREAT picture. I don't know exactly why I have been lurking around the Sock Summit site but just knowing that someone was able to corner this great material somehow makes me happy! You will never be sorry about the Noro, either -- three years ago at a Stitches Midwest Market I picked up a bag of Noro Silk Garden skeins at 50% off on the last day of the show and it gave me endless hours of enjoyment knitting a stole, entrelac scarves, etc. So pretty when worked up! Congratulations.
