Permalink Reply by jessireb on October 10, 2011 at 8:34am Peggy - well I am a little further ahead than you. I should have mine done in a week and the baby I am giving it to is only going to be 6 months! He won't have any clothes because I was making him to be cuddled. I was thinking about putting a diaper on him though.
After he is done then I have to start on half mittens for my two daughters. I am hoping I can have them done by Christmas!

Permalink Reply by Gwynedd on November 19, 2011 at 3:16am My Mr. Foster is a pirate and he's going to get new pants or a new jacket in "Pirate King" leftovers after I make a pair of socks. (Imagination yarn.) The clothes are half the fun. I made a second Mr. Foster as a "mutant" out of striped sock yarns and he has no clothes but the clothes are fun to knit. I made up a puffy pirate shirt on the fly by increasing at the end of the arms, and by making a laced v-neck (I think I used the scrubs pattern as a template.)
These make really nice gifts if you make up a Mr. Foster and dress him (or Ms. Carmen) as the profession of the person you gift to. They look really cute perched on a bookshelf or desk.
