Pattern for Montavilla

Is the pattern for this going to be posted? (I did check the free pattern section and didn't see it there). I am wondering because it says that " no purchase necessary to join KAL". Unless the pattern will be made available I don't understand how it would be possible to join without making purchase of the kit. Unless I was a member of the group that didnt actually make the bags, or perhaps chose another bag to knit.

Not real sure where I got it from, but the pattern is from Mason-Dixon Knitting "Outside the Lines" and it looks similar to the Montavilla Tote. Permalink Reply by Alison on April 22, 2009 at 7:22am: You don't need to purchase the kit to join the knitalong, and some people will be joining just to share their knitted gifts stories for the contest. If you'd like to knit the Montavilla Market Tote, though, you'll have to buy the kit. If you'd rather not buy the kit, we usually make the pattern available for purchase after the kit has sold out (such as with the Sipalu bag and the Chullo hat), although you may have to wait another few weeks past the date that the original kits sold out.; ▶ Reply to This
