HELP!! This pattern is driving me nuts!
I have been following the written instructions for my pattern and after knitting and ripping out 3 times I am now convinced that the written instructions for row 33 are wrong. Each pattern row has been increasing by 4 stitches but when I knit row 33 I am 4 stitches short to finish the row. So I thought I'd follow the chart but low and behold it only charts 35 stitches which are broken into blue, yellow and blue with no notes to repeat any of the 3 sections. I get that they haven't included the 3 garter stitch border at each end of the row but that still doesn't add up to the 73 stitches I have on my needles???? I'm ready to throw in the towel on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The pattern I'm following is the Jasmine Shawl by Galler Yarns from the Ravelry website.

"I think there is a typo in row 31 which may effect row 33.

Permalink Reply by Julie Hartford on March 29, 2012 at 9:55am Ok, so I have now completed row 52 on my lace shawl and the end of my written instructions. The pattern says:
"Continue working rows 21-52 increasing the sections in parenthesis one more time per repeat."
At the end of row 52 I have 113 stitches on my needle. Row 21 has 53 stitches. There are 2 sets of parentheses with a total of 32 stitches included in the 53 stitch count. Obviously 53 + 32 don't add up to give me 113 so how do I proceed?
Row 21 of the pattern reads:
K3, yo, k1 (yo, sk2p, yo, kl, k2tog, k1, yo, k5, yo, kl, ssk, kl) once, yo, sk2p, yo, kl,yo,kl,yo,kl (yo, sk2p, yo, kl, k2tog, kl, yo, k5,yo,kl,ssk, kl) once, yo, sk2p, yo, kl, yo, k3 (53sts)
Permalink Reply by PickleSue on March 29, 2012 at 11:19am Julie- her notation to increase the sections in parenthesis one more time per repeat should be TWO times per repeat, I think.
You will replace the 'once' after the parenthesis with '3 times'. So row 54 would end with 117 stitches: Your original 53 plus 64(16x4) =117. (which should be your current row of 113 +4). Does that make sense?
Row 53: K3, yo, k1 (yo, sk2p, yo, kl, k2tog, k1, yo, k5, yo, kl, ssk, kl) 3 times, yo, sk2p, yo, kl,yo,kl,yo,kl (yo, sk2p, yo, kl, k2tog, kl, yo, k5,yo,kl,ssk, kl) 3 times, yo, sk2p, yo, kl, yo, k3 (53sts)
