If you need super soft yarn for cure caps or preemie hats, try Comfy, Simply Cotton, or Shine.

We also have a wide variety of machine washable yarns here.

Sounds like this will be a really fun project. Can I use CotLin (DK weight) for this project? I have about 1000 yards of it.

Angela, is the pattern posted or sent to all the members of the group? I don't know if I'm going to have time to actually participate or just participate vicariously. I won't know my schedule until the time gets here.

Just ordered my yarn and the lady that took my order was very helpful she helped me pick 3 colors, hope that will work. ordered coral, bachelor button and wisteria. clean the calendar and I will be ready to start, hope to be finished by the 21st that is when our Bible School starts and I am a teacher this year.

I checked my stash and all of my cotton yarn is sport weight, no worsted weight, so I will order 10 balls from kp and save this for something else.

If you want to use up your non-Knit Picks yarn, that's okay, just make sure it's soft and machine washable if you're thinking of donating to charity after the contest!

It can be more than one color, but it's best if it's all worsted weight- we're trying to keep the weight and needle size the same to keep the contest fair. If you have to fudge the needle size a bit to get gauge, that's okay, but this isn't a project where gauge is super important. We're suggesting starting out with size 7 needles.

This project will be a great stashbuster, it will work with any colors and if you're unfortunate enough to have lots of non-Knit Picks worsted weight cotton blend yarn in your stash, it's a wonderful way to use it up. ;P (just kidding about the unfortunate part!)

You do need to use worsted weight though, we want everyone using the same weight to keep it fair. No bulky yarn allowed!!!

We'll announce the pattern at 4pm Pacific time on June 12th.

Do we need to order yarn or can we use what we have, have several different colors, some goes together good others not so good?????
