Knitting Community

By December 24, this thread will be the most beautiful collection of knitted items ever gathered.

I'm so excited at the thought of getting to finish an item and then get lots of oohs and ahhhs from people before I even wrap it. I'm even MORE excited to see what other people finish to give away!

I'll start us off, many of you have seen this one already--I finished a toilet paper cozy for my little brother and his new bride. It's a spicy tuna roll.

Okay, Marci, you have me guessing as to where this pattern came from. I've googled every possible word combination I can think of. I did find a crochet version, but yours looks knitted. Is this from Toilet Roll Covers by Pat Ashforth & Steve Plummer?
Hey, sorry I'm just now responding to you. I got super busy at work for a couple of weeks. I'm back now :).

I really struggled finding a knitted version of this pattern too. Here it is:

It's a very fun pattern.
I'm beginning to think I need a computer dedicated to all my patterns I have saved on it.
My first finished item: completed last week.
Alpaca Lacey Baktus.

This one is for a friend.
That's beautiful, Susan, but then I haven't seen anything you've done that isn't!
Cheryl,
Thanks you. All the really ugly stuff was early in my knitting experience. When I start a project, if it isn't looking right, I frog and start again... change my methods, whatever it takes to make it as good as possible.
That's what makes you a natural knitter!
You ladies didn't see any of my early stuff... trust me... I have learned a lot in 4 years. --S

P.S. Like how not to take pics of the ugly stuff.
Hey, we were all newbies at one time. And even today, there are things that I make that I think "What on earth was I thinking!"
Exactly! --S
See, Susan, you tell people it's ugly and they are going to believe you! Irene, tell her again! ROF wishing I was LMFAO.
This is so pretty just love the color, a nice winter color. Irene
