Anyone knitting the ball Ornaments?

Here are a couple I just finished. I started them a little differently than the pattern. I did a few rows of increases on a straight needle, and then switched to knitting in the round with double points. It was easier for me to handle that way.

Oh boy, I don't really keep track of my time. It's probably around 9 or 10 hours each. But that's a wild guess.

THese are really nice! Makes me itch to get back to doing things from this kit. I switched to some other christmas gifts, but I really like how yours turned out! And thanks for the tip on getting this started. I was wondering about that.
