A swap partner made me a hat this last december and sent the extra yarn, then I found more of this yarn that is full of knots throughut so I'm not even worrying about dyelots though I am trying to alternate them.

So I am well into the second ball as you can see in the other pic. Sorry so blurry. My hands shake a lot.

Yep, the Navy Natural colorway...
That is really nice that vest is something I'd knit for sure.  Where did the pattern come from?  I'm always looking for new stuff.
I found the pattern here
Great I'll add it to my ginormous list of yearly knitting but give her instructions not to machine wash it. Did that for the baby hat I made last fall for the shower. Her mom passed away from MS when she was 15 so I'm doing more knitting for her. Mostly in purple since it was her moms favorite color.
I like that sentiment. Before Kathy passed away, I had already planned to give a copy of Knit & Wrap to my sisters and sister-in-law. When it became obvious that Kathy was not going to make it before I got the books, I knew her copy would go to her daughter. My niece was very touched by it going to her. So I know the purples will mean a lot to this young mom.
How sweet. It's official definitely fell off the rocker signed on to the fingerless gloves fanatics group to knit 11 pairs in 2011. And I did another rectangle. This is avslow project for me. Goal is to use one ball each month until the 8 I have picked out for this project is gone.
The amazing thing to me is not how you set these goals, but how you achieve them!
Because I'm slightly insane and obsessed with knitting. I've always been a goal person and have tiny goals for each day to have the confidence to tackle the bigger ones. When I worked in lab the first thin I did was make a list of what needed to be done and crossed off each item as i did them. It's a confidence booster. I've always been this way. Just don't look at the bookshelf or cabinet of old vhs's or DVDs. It's highly on thevanal side, alphabetical and then by year if multiples in a series but take a look at my sleeping quarters- highly, highly disorganized. The books are also by height. It drives people nutsvwhen they see that. But I'm not type A because I'm in a constant state of relaxation.
Thanks ladies. I just figured most people were like this. Guess I'm the odd ball.
No, I don't think you are the odd ball. It's just who you are. We all tend to think everyone either does or should thinks like us. It's one of the reasons you love science. My sister was extremely organized like you and she was a science teacher. She absolutely loved science. I like to organize, but the ADD in me tends to get me to forget to keep up with it. When I do organize it is definitely in an anal way. It's just that I seem to be getting less organized as I get older.
Not odd all at.  I love you.  :)  I love to be hyper organized - like perfectionist style- but then I run out of energy and accomplish very little.  My spices are in alphabetical order in little silverware baskets on a short shelf in the cupboard.  But stuff has exploded with kids and this house and now things are getting less and less organized every day. :P
I think we're all different, but we share an obsession!
