I got this idea from a group on Rav.
My Playtime cardigan is 70% finished and my round yoke topdown, colorwork sweater is 75% done. I'm in the mood to make some holiday, small gifts today. Deer head keychain, piggie key chain and maybe start the stockings. I'm also balling up two hanks for another pair of cable socks I'll start soon.
Hmmm, need to get tonights supper in the crockpot, too.

Love the picture. Looks like quite the helper. :0)
I have not made much progress on anything. I did finally get the heel in one sock but it's kind of square-ish. I don't really like it much, but I've already pulled it out three times and this is the best one so far. I know that if I pull it out again I likely will never finish the sock so I decided to just let it go. I'll see if I can't figure out something better on the next sock. lol
It's an old photo of a baby Blackbelly ewe that I bottle fed. :-)
Are you working on the short row heel? Sometimes, it takes me multiple trial runs before I like what I see. Or, as you mention it gets me so frustrated it'll sit awhile before completion.
Permalink Reply by Jennifer Sherman on November 11, 2011 at 4:37pm I have a pair of wristers that I am making into fingerless gloves on my hook. I have another ball ready to go that someone has specifically ordered. I have other yarn for a coupld of a-line skirts for my daughter and her friends. I also want to make some fun hair decorations to give to friends. I can't believe it is already Nov., let alone almost the middle of it. Where did summer and fall go? Oh yeah, we had a really long spring here in the Northwest. I love the color of fall and the autumn smells, so no really complaints here. I just wish I had time to get everything done. All in His time. Happy crocheting.
Time does seem to just fly. I love fall, too. I've managed to bake several sweet potato breads and one banana.
Since the holidays are all handmade this year, I have a lot going on. Just at this moment, things actually started but not finished are...
Mittens in a super-fine chenille that go to a hat/scarf/ mitten set
A doll dress that's almost done,
and I'm knitting a Domo- kun (video game character) that I have one panel done on.
Last but not least is a set of snowflakes that need to be stiffened and sparkled.
There are still 2 projects not started, and 3 completely finished
Addendum...Share your knit work in progress, too. Cheryl and others. :-)
Great addendum, you'll notice I did.. (: But seriously, there aren't a lot of folks that do both, had you noticed?
Yep. Most folks are either and a few both. :-D
I was browsing on Rav yesterday at the crochet pattern section and what catches my eye...Domo-kun.
I remembered your post and then there it was in a crochet version. lol
Oh *sure*, Just when I went and designed my own! I'd have done all crochet if I could've found one. I am actually doing the body in knit, the arms and legs in crochet, and the face in felt. *sigh*
Oh, and second set of flakes have been stiffened and sparkled. (:
Help! Help! Spread the word! When i was a kid, my mom made the most beautiful ornaments using beads and ribbon, and satin covered styrofoam ball ornaments. I know I've passed sites with patterns for these, but I can't find them now. Can anyone send me some links? Please ask around. Thanks everyone!
