Here's your pattern for week 3 (page 3 of the PDF has the new part).

And here's my photo for week 3:

I took the photo at a different part of the round than the last couple, so you're seeing a different view of the pattern.

Have fun! I'm enjoying seeing everyone's color combos.

ETA 9/30: Hey everybody, Joanne found a small error in the chart, so I've uploaded a new pattern for week 3. If you already finished week 3 and want to correct the error, you only need to undo the last 3 rows. Sorry about that! It seems that no matter how many people check things, mistakes still can get through.

I'm still catching up on week 2 (I really had to finish my Whisper Cardigan before it got to be too cold to wear it) but for week 1 I used my right hand to throw both colours - only wrapping when it was longer stretch of stitches. My work computer won't let me check out the video, but I don't think I was having any problems with my self taught technique (this is my first real colour work project and I didn't realise I should be worried about how I hold the yarn) Nothing is puckering or pulling as far as I can tell

I should be able to catch up with everyone this weekend and I'll try to remember to post pictures of both the front and back so I can get feedback on if what I'm doing is wrong or going to be a mess in the end
Jenn, just be sure you go here to see the discussions on the corrections for week 3. It starts with Joanne and then my response currently spills over onto the next page.
I think I downloaded the pattern after she made the change, but I'll double check to make sure
I think the change was just posted. So double check. It is the one that is now attached above.
Error???? Oh, crap. I had noticed that the piece was mirrored about the center, and had been checking my work that way, originally. But in this last installment (Week 3), I was getting so comfortable with the color work knitting, I stopped checking!

But wait... that means that I get to knit three rows of color work tonight! Yippee! That should help the "withdrawal pains" I am having while waiting for Friday's Installment #4. See - "to err is human, to forgive divine".
Christine, you have me ROFL!!!

Here is my week 3 finished my picture is a little dark but I like the colors What do you think. Hope I can send this my colors are green, cream, ivy, blue some heathers I am at work now and my list is at home.

Sharon you managed to embed it. The colors are very nice. They are very soothing. Did you see the correction to rounds 17 and 18? Look above in my response to Jenn for a link to a discussion Joanne and I had in another thread.
I think it may be some kind of cozy. When my son asked me, I told him it was going to be a chainsaw cozy. He thinks I am nuts for knitting something without knowing what its going to be.
Here is the corrected interactive pattern for week 3. Please note for it work, Debbie [KYFarmGirl] let me know that you must save the file to your hard drive before you can use it as and interactive file. Laura E Shallenberger reported that she had to download Adobe Reader 9.0 for it to work for her. [I do not have Reader 7.0 or 8.0 to test it in those versions.] For the latest version of Reader [9.1], please go here. For those with Macs, click on Different language or operating system?

For those who have Macs, Tiffany [pinkknitting] has advised that this will not work with the built-in previewer. You must download Adobe Reader for Mac [see above]. Also the up and down arrows do not work with the Mac version. So click on the horizontal line or arrowhead and while clicked, you can move it with your mouse.

Thank you for all your help.

Reminders: I have my mystery set up with markers every 10 sts with 11 sts for the last section. So that is how the interactive file is set up. The red vertical lines and numbers aren't interactive. I have a horizontal line that can move up and down to keep your row place and a little arrowhead that can move back and forth to mark which section you are working on.

To move either the horizontal line or the arrow, place your cursor over it. Your cursor should become a black arrowhead. When it is in that mode, click on it to make the line or the red arrowhead active. You can then move it up, down, right or left with the arrow keys on your keyboard. To deactivate it click anywhere else on your page or hit the escape button.

To enlarge the pattern on your screen click the zoom button up on the top menu bar.

If anyone else has suggestions please let me know.

Does anyone have any guesses as to what the design is in the project.
I certainly have no clue! [pun intended!] [Oops! Melissa, this is not a pun about week 4. Oh, no, I certainly didn't mean it that way. We only want you to get better. Has it been diagnosed as pneumonia? That is really bad stuff. You aren't having coughing fits are you? DH and I had the whooping cough 3 years ago. We had a hard time convincing the doc that's what it was because they don't see it very often today. Yet we read an article that there was an epidemic of whooping cough going around. It was really awful and lasts forever. I certainly hope it isn't that. That takes forever to get over. We are all sending good vibes your way so you can get better. Pneumonia must be taken very serious. All the, ahem, older moms out here order you to bed until you are well.]
