....you will find plenty of good company to help you with your questions. I know that when you have the sleeves and body stitches on one circular needle, it can feel overwhelming. Don't worry, the decreasing will make things manageable very quickly.
Missed this thread you began today - should have posted my question here...I'll keep knitting and begin the decreases, continuing to have faith in your certainty and the pattern. Off I go! Thanks.
I am just aobut to join my sleeves!!! One more colour repeat of the body and I will be ready!!!! I am also going to knit a full colour repeat with no decreases at first, just to make sure the arms are large enough. At least that's my plan!!! The end seems so close....
OK, I am not the greatest at math, but.....I am ready to start the Raglan decreases
For my size it says...now have 394 sts on needle.....well if I decrease ( as I think it reads) 4 stitches
on each round it says...then that will be 4 rows===16 stitches
and then 25 rows===100 stitches, so that equals 116.
394-116=278 and then it says 162 stitches remain......
OK, 278 does not equal 162????? Help!
Thanks
Anna
I just finished knitting my sleeves and will cast on for the body tonight. In reading ahead, I just don't understand how the sleeves are knitted on. Can someone explain that part with more description than the pattern gives. I've never done the raglan sleeves or anything like this before. I can't visualize knitting around the sleeve, bound off edges too right (?) without having to break the yarn and start again. Does any of this make sense? :)
Never mind! I just saw that the underarms are sewn together at the end. I understand it now. :) I must have read through the instructions five times and didn't catch that before!
