I am on row 4 of the 8 row short row neckline (not neckband) instructions and I just remembered the contrasting color stripe. How do you add it in-or do you? I have seen people say don't add it in and seen some people say do add it in here so I am confused. If you do add it, how to you move it over? It is attached in the center of the steek right now. Do I break it and restart it for that one row? If you don't add it, does it leave a blank area? The picture of the model shows stripes up to the neckband which says to break the Shimmer.
Thanks!

My personal opinion is not to worry about that one odd row of striping with the contrast. Most people who will be wearing this cardi have collar length hair or longer, and it would just be covered up anyway. When I had my cardi finished except for the bands, and steeking, it looked just fine without that odd row in there. I think it is a personal preference.

At this stage it is hard to imagine how it will look. I was hoping someone who was finished would give me some advice.
Thanks!
Since I had the sweater completed except steeking, and then found I was way off gauge, and started over. I left out the short row of striping, and it looked fine to me. If you go to the discussions listed page of this KAL you should find one listed as post pics of our finished sweater here, take a look at the pictures, looks as if there is a row of stitching that is part of the back neck and comes around to the front, in a short row maybe??? I think you can either break your yarn from the steek area and then reattach in the proper spot to put that row of contrast in.
