It was scary!! I cut my first steek this morning. This is the first sweater I've ever knit and it was a little traumatizing to cut it after all that knitting, but it worked!

Everyone in the office offered lots of moral support. Of course, they also video taped me.

Of course it did. Knitpicks is huge and I'm pretty sure they try patterns before they print them. Good for you.
Yeah, it definitely made it less scary to do it in Alison's office. She designed the pattern.
Here's a steeking badge for you!

This was designed by Susan "NoKnitSherlock." She posted a discussion, "Steeking Badges? We don' need no steeking badges!" I said I did need one, so she obliged! Thanks again, Susan!
You deserve this, Angela. My glass is raised high to you.
Hee, hee. That's too cute. I love my steeking badge!
I love mine, too! I wish I could figure out how to put it on my page. I have it in my photos, though!
congrats. i like your video much better than the tutorial.
I cut my steek today. It was exciting and nervewracking. I would have been too terrified to do it without someone here holding my hand were it not for the fact that I'd practiced by steeking my gauge swatch.

Still, it's quite cool to see it work on the actual sweater. It's like magic!

My first front band is almost finished, and I hope to finish the second one and sew their hems today to complete the sweater (and set it to block).

This is my first cardigan worked to completeness for me. And my first steek.

My sweater fit is a bit off. But I will still be able to wear it. It's a bit loose, and will make a nice, comfy, cozy, somewhat sloppy sweater, that I'm sure to love wearing on a chilly evening.
Nice comfy and cozy sweaters are must for the wardrobe and I bet it's not as sloppy as you think. We are usually our own worst critics.
