Well I finally managed to get my clc body cast on - going cross eyed with counting the stitches! Also trying to ensure that I joined it in the round without twisting my stitches was exhausting!! I see that it is important to mark the steek.  I am trying to decide as to whether to mark it with markers or by sewing a thread up thru the front.  Also do I just mark where the fabric will be cut or there and the six stitches either side?  T

that sounds interesting and something to think about but I like to have a simple project to take with me for down time at work or waiting time. I will look into the spinning. Don't you need some expensive supplies for that??
Not at all! You can make a drop spindle out of Tinker Toys, or a CD and a dowel, or a knitting needle and a piece of potato, even! You can get roving here for $2.89 for 100 gms!
Cool!! I will definitely look into this. Do you dye your own yarn/roving too? I think that sound fascinating also. I can't wait to retire so I can do what I want when I want. I hope I don't go blind or something so I can't do that stuff. Thanks for sharing. vk
I have dyed yarn and roving. KP has both a Dye Along (DAL) and a Spin Along (SAL) in the Knitting Community.
Yep, Kool-Aid is cheap enough for dyeing!
You certainly wouldn't want to drink it!
Ha! I said the same thing: "I can't wait to retire so I can do what I want when I want." Don't kid yourself. When you retire, you will be busier than ever and you will still say that you wish you could do what you want when you want, Been there -- done that!

So owning a LYS is being retired?
Well, that's one of the things I 'wanted to do' ever since I was a young girl. So, I guess it isn't really being retired as far as working goes, but at this point it is insofar as it is all spending and no income yet! LOL
Ouch! An expensive hobby?
A VERY expensive hobby, so far. I sure hope it turns around quickly, or it may end up another dead LYS. =o((
You have my best wishes for a great turnaround!
