Mitts for charity pics

Some may or may not know me but i am looking for knitters to knit fingerless mitts for a charity i am trying to start. I got the OK to donate from my current dialysis center. A lot of dialysis patients suffer from steal syndrome making their hands really cold as they dialyze so I and others are knitting mitts where i will donate them in mid to late April. There is a minimum of a 3" on the cuff so that it doesnt cover the access area. I chose to do fingerless mitts so people can still hold a book, use the remote control or use a laptop. Do you mean the cuff can be up to 3" but not over? If so, it should be a maximum of 3".

A maximum legnth of 3".

The pattern is KnitterGirl39's Midnight Sky Mitts, and I'm using Felici Sport in "Ecology" and Stroll Sport in "Fedora," held together.

Very nice. Will take pics of mine. I need the longer cable i think for new shawl. Getting used to ML. Mine is the board and batten pattern from Handworks. Its a free pattern and knit in Capra. I will have to look up color names but its the brown and a little bit of yellow. On the gussets of second one.

The one I'm doing has an afterthought thumb, so no gussets.

Are those the acrylic or plastic needles. Though acrylic has a different chemical structure as plastic me thinks.

In my photo? You're seeing my Zephyrs. I actually have a Harmony tip on one end and a Zephyr tip on the other of two 24" cables. I'm knitting off with the Zephyr tips to be consistent. I guess the Harmony tips are camera shy!

I finished one pair of mitts using Knittergirl39's pattern. I made them out of Classic Elite Yarns Fresco (60% wool, 30% baby alpaca, 10% angora). I have enough yarn left over to make another pair of mitts.

I have also begun a pair of mitts usiing this pattern (but a shorter cuff) from the Skacel 20 Years of Trekking KAL. I am using the leftover yarn from making these mitts. They are made from Trekking 6 Ply tweed.
