Thanks Melissa, that is what I thought! Do you do any felting your knits. I am giving away a wonderful book on Shibori Knitted Felt by Alison Crowther-Smith, Review and Giveaway! come and leave a comment and maybe you will win :)

Correct - any yarn labeled "superwash" has been specially treated so that it will not felt.

I agree with Melissa, I immediately thought Wool of the Andes. I am knitting with it right now working on IK Fall 2007 (or 2006, can't remember) Sierra Caridgan. LOVE IT. Totally reminds me of Cascade. I am doing it in Tidepool Heather which is a beautiful blue/green.

Have you taken this yarn out into the sunshine? A beautiful golden color just pops right out of it. Beautiful.

May the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival get here soon so I can get off this yarn diet and start buying online again!!!!

I received my color cards last week for gloss lace and a few others. The colors in the catalog and on my computer screen do not do justice to the real thing. The colors are beautiful. I can't decide which ones I'll buy but buy I wil.

Do the color cards come with all the new colors, even the ones that won't be in for a few months?

The gloss card has 12 colors. The elegance has 12. The swish dk has 20. Some of the cards I ordered will not be shipped until sometime in May. I just supposed the new colors for the other yarns weren't ready yet. Just guessing.

The color cards will be updated with the new colors. This takes a little bit of time to make, as the yarn needs to be produced first, then the color card.

Great, thank you for the information.

All of the new yarns look absolutely fabulous. I recently "stocked-up" on my yarns from Knit Picks. But I will have to try some of these.

I also just saw the new "samplers" and am very excited about that too.

Why would anyone shop for yarn any where else?

The new sampler kits are so helpful. I just ordered all three! It's great to sample some unfamiliar yarn but also I love the idea of the color themes. More please!
