The weather here in the Northwest is not cooperating today, but I will try to get some more photos as soon as we've got sunshine.
Thank you sooo much, Melissa. You seriously rock. I thought I had finally decided what colors to buy, but with the new colors that decision may be totally out the window. Oh well, maybe I'll just have to get a bit more ; ) I will anxiously await your pics, and hope for sunshine. Thanks, again.
It stopped raining today, so I was able to get some photos of Gloss Lace and Shadow. (Incidentally it was SNOWING, but the clouds broke for a few minutes!)
Thank you again, and an extra thanks for pictures in spite of the snow! Those were exactly what I needed, I can see the colors so much better. And I must say, I am totally smitten, the colors are gorgeous!
I just signed up for a KAL on yahoo (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MysteryLace/) and was wondering if Gloss Lace would be a good substitute for Jaggerspun Zephyr? I'm would get the Bare color since we don't know the "theme" for the stole but pastels were suggested and I look horrible in light colored pastels.
JaggerSpun Zephyr Wool-Silk 2/18 is about 630 yards per 57g, so it's a little lighter-weight than our lace weight yarns (about 550 yards per 50g, and Knit Picks lace weight yarns are about 440 yards per 50g). You could substitute Gloss Lace in Bare, but the fabric of your stole will be less ethereal and a little more substantial.
Thank you Alison. I was trying to figure the whole math thing out but I just wasn't sure which "numbers" were important for comparing. The group will post a gauge swatch later this week and I can better judge when I see that. Again, thanks for the reply.
You WILL have to remember folks, KnitPicks is located in WA state, the Pacific NW... sometimes sun is in small quantities in the winter months! LOLOL!!!!

I used the Sherry Shimmer yarn in a shawl, finished January 1 and it is such a spectacular color. When I bought it, there was just a small picture on the website so took a chance. Really a pleasure to work with too.

Am now longing to try the Blue Glass in an upcoming project but have to wait for it to be in stock again.
Which of the Knit Pick yarns (which I always use) would compare the the Cascade 220?
Wool of the Andes for regular, and Swish for superwash.
But I could not use the Swish for superwash for felting, could I? I have felted the Andes and it works well.
