That's beautiful.
Thank You.
I really like it!
I have been working on Carmen Bananas sock monkey. I'm at the face shaping and have been having a fussy time with the "mitered heel" that makes up the lips and face. Basically, each time (I've done this twice on the monkey, and four times on spare yarn and larger needles) I finish, there are gaping holes on either side of the increases.

I've followed along with the video on the knittinghelp.com site, as well as numerous variations on YouTube.com: no-wraps, cat bordhi, yo, etc. I can wrap and turn no problemo, but when it comes time to increase the stitches, I flub. The instructions that come with Carmen Bananas tell me to "wrap and turn" after picking up each of the wrapped stitches. I think this is where I need help. Here's an excerpt of the actually wording:

When there are 10 sts between wrapped sts, with RS facing, K to first wrapped st, pick up the wrap and K it together with the st it wraps; W&T. Purl to the first wrapped st, pick up the wrap and P it together with the st it wraps; W&T. Work in this manner, working one more st each row, until there are `7 sts between wrapped sts with WS facing.

It seems that when I come to the first wrapped st on a given row, and I pick up the wrap and work it with the st it wraps, then W&T, I'm not absorbing a new st before the wrap and turn. Does that make sense? Can someone help me? You all have been so helpful in the past, getting me over my propensity to make things "harder" than they need to be.
I haven't done my Mr.F yet, but I've done a lot of short-row heels, which is what it sounds like. I've never seen a pattern before that has you knit a st together with it's wrap and then do another W&T. We need help from someone who has done a monkey. Have you checked in the sock monkey KAL?
Here's the link to the Mr. Foster and Carmen Bananas KAL.
Drea, I'm sending you a friend request with my email address. Send me an email and I'll send my personal notes that should help you through this stage.
Thank you!
Hi-

This is my first post - I hope I'm in the right place. I started the beet purse from the elegant edibles kit. I finished the first of my 6 sections (1 - 22 of the beet chart) and am confused as to how the remaining 5 sections knit together, the way I understand the pattern I will end up with 6 unattached sections. The photo shows the purse as a tube. What am I missing?! Thank you in advance for your kind help!

Regards,
Faline
Hi Faline,

I think I might be a little confused, you should be knitting all 6 sections in the round at the same time so after row 22, you'll have 6 sections of 12 stitches each.

Also, there is some errata printed on our website

Revised 3/17/10

Beet bag, page 2, left column:
Begin working from Round 1 of Beet Chart, and continue following chart through round 22. Repeat the chart six times around the bag.

Hope this helps!

Stacey
Yes - I was confused, but thank you for straightening me out! Now, the pattern makes sense! Thank you for the quick reply and the corrections!

You saved my day!

Faline
I'm working on the Elegant Edible Orange Wedge, and I had a question about the chart. I've done stranded color work before, but only in the round. In the first few rows of the chart, the colors that are worked on the knit row are also worked on the purl row. After row 5, though, the daffodil is at the wrong end of the knitting to be picked up for row 6, and then the same is true for the cloud in row 7, etc. Do I need to be carrying the third color along with the two being worked for each row? This is probably a silly question, just not something I have run across in circular color work.

Thanks!
