Hi there,
There aren't any errors in the chart that we know of - I'd suggest swatching a few repeats of the pattern in worsted weight so that you can see your stitches well and get a good feel for the pattern. Row 16 is a WS row, so there shouldn't be any shaping done on that row. Also, be mindful of where the pattern says "end last repeat.."; it means to substitute those directions for what is given in the repeat.
I LOVE the new lace samplers. Do you have any pattern suggestions for using one of the samplers? ie, a pattern that would use the amount in the sampler? They look sooooo beautiful! thanks!
I'd love a pattern sampler too! They did ones for the cotton yarns, the lace yarns should have one as well, this way you could knit up five or six little one skein projects.
I am looking for a free pattern that used to be on your website. It's not there any longer. Is there a place to check for "old" patterns or are they gone for good??
Thanks
DebbieMN
Hi Debbie... Some of the old patterns we used on a contract basis with the designer. After the contract term expired, the pattern rights went back to the designer. You can check with the designer and see if it's available... --Kim
Oh! The Rona Lace Shawl is gorgeous! I just received an email about it this weekend. I have a couple of questions if anyone can help - How difficult is this pattern - is it for a novice knitter and which is better, Alpaca Cloud or Shimmer Hand Dyed Lace Yarn?
Hi Mary... This pattern is definitely an advanced pattern. I wouldn't recommend it to a novice lace knitter. As to the type of yarn, this would be subjective - all depends on your taste both yarns would work fine. --Kim
I am getting ready to begin the "mossy diamonds coat" sweater pattern, and wondered if anyone who has completed it has any advice. I have been knitting for about 3 yrs, but don't feel that I qualify for the extreme experienced knitter yet. I would appreciate any input regarding this pattern.
Becky
Hi Becky,
I think the most confusing thing about a pattern like this is keeping track of where you are in the pattern repeat - using a row counter can help a lot! There are a lot of simultaneous shapings that happen as well - just a lot to keep track of. Probably won't make for good TV knitting, but it'll be worth it! ;-) And of course if you have any trouble, feel free to ask questions!
