I've just finished using Comfy worsted and Comfy Bulky in Dk Green and I now have Dk Green tufts all over my house. it's in my everything from my current knitting project to my hairbrush. It's stuck in the afghan that lays on the back of my chair and in't woven it's way into my lavender bath mats.I think I nally got it off my Fleece bathrobe after 3 washings. I made an afghan and a sweater for my new granddaughter and now my DIL is asking about did she ruin the afghan when she washed it because all the green in the dryer filter.
I really like the Essential Sock yarn, but I really need a bright red color, and it is not currently available.
I have looked on KP for a true red sock yarn, I can't seem to find one. I do love all the sock yarns, all the KP yarns, never have been dissapointed. Irene
Is there any way I can get the names of the yarns used in the "Knit Pretty" desktop? There's a beautiful hank of what looks to be a purple heather in the front of the bowl that I'd love to have if I knew what to order! :-)

Thanks!
Helen
Hi Helen,

I'm not sure which hank you're referring to, so the hanks in the vase (from lower right clockwise around) are: Wool of the Andes Iris Heather, Wool of the Andes Pidgeon Twist, Telemark Delphinium, Wool of the Andes Dove Heather, and Telemark Royal. Hope that helps!

It's the Wool of the Andes Pidgeon Twist! Thanks so much Melissa!

Now I only have to figure out what to knit with it.....decisions, decisions! :-)

I have a sizing/yarn question. My father wants me to knit a fishermen's knit sweater. I have a pattern for worsted weight yarn that states sizes in inches, and since he often wears a Large (sometimes a Medium if it runs a little big) it says it's about 38-40 inches. I'd like to buy the Bare Peruvian Wool, but have NO clue how much I would need. Can you help? Thanks!!!

Midgekk
Does your pattern list a suggested yarn and the amount of that yarn? If you have that information, I can help you calculate the yardage you need to substitute the Bare yarn.
Kudos!!!!! I suffer from "Saturday-morning--cast-on-itis", just can't wait to try something new. I LOVE the 2 sample packs that just arrived. Could you please send a note to my boss and excuse me from work for the rest of the week?
I just received my first order of Essential sock yarn (I bought it for my Mum for Mother's Day - with Harmony dbl pts) and I have to say....LOVE LOVE LOVE...Coral and Grass...its going to be a very pretty present. Thank you for doing such an awesome job. I am rapidly becoming a huge fan of your yarn...rapidly...

Cheers, Laura
I need opinions! I'd love to make the Spectrum Scarf in the new issue of Interweave Knits, and it calls for 4 different colors of lace-weight yarn. I was looking at Gloss in Mango, Port, and Chipolte, maybe Celery . . . or maybe using Shimmer in Spice as one of the colors? Problem is, I don't have the color cards, and I'm hesitant to rely on my computer monitor.
If anyone has more familiarity with how these colors would blend - or any other four colors of KnitPicks laceweight, I'd really appreciate your input!
Well - Never Mind!! I just now saw the Lace Samplers - How did I miss those before??? I ordered the Sunset sampler, along with one additional skein of Gloss Chipolte. I guess I should learn to browse a little more . . . . wouldn't you know the KnitPicks staff had already done the color coordinating for us. You guys are truly the best!
