I have a few teeth marks in one of my sets of Harmony needles, too. But thankfully as soon as he (Luger) put the tooth in he realized how upset I would be and moved on to something more chewable. He didn't even leave a rough place.

hmmm, What about when the DH uses your precious, loverly, perfectly wonderful harmony cable tips to pry open a paint can!!!! I cannot shoot hubby...I cannot shoot hubby...grrr

On the other hand, it did do the trick....

Like Tom Arnold said in True Lies, "you can't live with 'em and you can't kill 'em." LOLOL!

I read your post and thought of how I recently found my husband using one of my handmade cloth napkins (part of a set, of course) to cover the head of his hammer while putting together some shelves. That did the job too!

Heh heh that is why I always make them in bulk! Someone inevitably uses/destroys/loses several.

I love these needles. I agree with other people that the harmony needles are beautiful, but I just prefer metal needles.

I have the whole options set, and they work beautifully. I want to get all of the extra needle tips so that i don't ever have to buy straight needles again :-P

That being said, I have noticed that the screw joins don't hold as well as they should. This has not bothered me to the point where I want to apply super glue, like some other knitters, in fact, it hasn't bothered me much at all. I can feel needle has soon as it starts to unscrew and then fix the problem. I can understand why some people would find this annoying, but I'd rather have to keep reattaching the needle points instead of knitting with awful plastic needles from walmart.

I have the harmony interchangeable and I love working with them. I found that if you use the key to tighten the needles I have no problem but when I tighten by hand they loosen up.

I thought people used the super glue where the wood meets the metal. I could be wrong. If it's the screw part, use the little tool that comes with it. Place the tool into the hole in the cable part, and grab hold of the tip with your hand and tighten. I use a little square of plastic shelf liner to hold on to the tip, so it doesn't slide around. I have arthritis in both thumbs, and the piece of shelf liner helps me hold on.

I'm loving my new Harmony Options set! At my knitting group last Friday, I showed someone how to tighten the connection using the little tool or "key." She said she didn't know what that was for. I also demonstrated the use of the little piece of plastic shelf liner I use to hold on to the tip while tightening and untightening. We have a lot of older ladies--like me--in our knitting group, so it was useful info. --Peggy

Question for others on the Nickel-Plated. I love mine, but I'm finding that the nickel is wearing a way and they aren't as smooth as they originally were. I haven't even finished one pair of socks yet. Anyone else run into this, or have any suggestions on what do with them?

THANKS!

Trish
I've had mine for over two years, and they all look as good as the day I got them... no nickel wearing away or anything. If I were you I'd contact Customer Service.
