I'm a big Bayou fan too... it doesn't look in person like you'd think from the webpage, don't you think? The "flecks" of color are a lot more subtle than they look up close. It is a gorgeous deep green color with subtle "highlights" of colors. Its just gorgeous!
Isn't it pretty? It's my favorite colorway of the handpainted yarns - it also comes in Suri Dream, if you'd like to make an afghan and wrap yourself up in it!
I would love to see Risata in some bright colors and even multi colors. Is it similar to Dancing? I bought some of that last year and I loved it but you don't have it anymore.
Risata is similar to Dancing in fiber content. It feels a tiny bit softer than I recall Dancing being though, and I think it is constructed a little differently. If you're looking for something similar though, Risata is definitely your best bet!
I knit but I'm also a spinner and weaver. The weaving is really my passion and I hope at some point you all would consider putting up some of your yarns for sale in larger quantity units on cones.
I'm primarily a weaver too. I love the lace weight yarns for weaving. If they were on cones they would be even better! I would be satisfied with KP offering more two ply yarns, though.
I have just started weaving (I have a rigid heddle loom) and I've had some success using Knit Picks yarns in the regular put up. Right now, I'm using mostly fingering weight yarn, but I've ordered an 8 dent reed so I'll be able to use thicker yarns as well. But weaving projects will begin to be featured on the Knit Picks blog soon.
Have you thought about bringing in some bamboo yarns? I've been working on a project with 100% bamboo yarn at the moment and I just love working with this fiber. The downside is how expensive bamboo is. I would love to see you guys come out with bamboo line that was more affordable.
Also can you make shine in a nice chocolate brown?
I'll put bamboo on the list of requested fiber types. Also, have you seen that both Shine Worsted and Shine Sport now have a dark brown called "Fedora"?
I love shine and I think its a good substitute for bamboo. I couldn't tell if Fedora was brown or not. Thank you for letting me know. You guys are always so helpful!
Yeah, web colors make it difficult - my work computer's colors are completely different than my monitor at home. Fedora's definitely a nice, deep, chocolate brown, though!
