Does anyone have any of this yarn I can buy? I have only 55 rows (right shoulder) of my sweater left to knit and I have unexpectedly run out. I can no longer find this color! I purchased the original 10 skeins from KnitPicks.
They're already up! Join as many KALs as you'd like - we're currently up to 8. What usually happens is that folks sign up, there's a lull while people wait for their materials to arrive, and then everyone starts chatting about their ongoing projects.
I would love to make a mobius scarf (By Cat Bordhi) and a matching pair of gloves as a gift for the holidays. Elegance yarn is my first choice because of how I think it will look in the mobius but I wondered how it would hold up in gloves. My fear is that it might not take the wear and possible winter wetness well. Can anyone offer any advice or suggest another possible yarn choice?
Elegance would make an amazing and soft cowl. You could use Elegance for the gloves, but they would be more of a fancy dress up accessory. If you are planning on wearing your gloves every day, getting them dirty, and being generally rough (as I am when I wear fingerless gloves to ride my bicycle around in the rain all winter), you might prefer one of our superwash yarns in a coordinating color.

I am trying to find a pattern for fingerless gloves for a six- seven year old. I would like them to have a half thumb. I do have a problem, since I have never knitted gloves and would have to figure out how to work the thumb portion. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Bonnie. The first fingerless glove (or any glove for that matter) that I made was the "Fetching" pattern from knitty.com. It had clear directions, I think. Maybe you could cut out one or more repeats of the simple cable pattern to make them narrower, and just make them shorter. You can search knitty's archives for the pattern.
