About the Kookaburra wool wash - how much is needed to wash a garment? And how often would you wash a wool garment - particularly a scarf or a hat. I'm trying to figure out how long the 2 oz bottle will last.
When I use the Kookaburra wool wash, I use about 1/2oz for a sink full of fiber. The larger 16oz bottle has a little measuring reservoir - you squeeze the bottle and it fills the reservoir up to either the 1/2oz or 1oz mark. I do a lot of hand spinning and sweater knitting, and a 16oz bottle still lasts me over 9 months. The 2oz bottle would last you for a while if you're just doing hats and scarves - you could get away with using 1/4oz or so for smaller items.
I don't know if this is the best place to post this, but I want to send a big THANK YOU to Nancy at KnitPicks, who talked me through the lace chart for the Victorian fingerless gloves yesterday. I've finished the first lace cuff, and it's so beautiful. And now I understand how to read a chart, thanks to Nancy. I just love this site: the patterns, the yarn, the tools, the tutorials, and the community. Nancy, if you're reading this, MWAH!!!
How come when I block my stockinette stitch scarf, when it's dry and I remove it from the towel I blocked it on, it still rolls up instead of laying flat? Am I doing something wrong? This is incredibly frustrating to me, and I would love an answer. Thank you very much, and Happy Holidays!
Stockinette automatically curls. You can't get around it. The only way to make it work is to knit a garter stitch (or some other pattern) border on both sides. I learned this early on when I tried to knit a stockinette scarf and it wouldn't stop rolling.

Nuts. Well, thank you for the response! I'll see if I can add a boarder today.
I was thinking about getting the Plano Moulding knitting bag , but it says its a little under 13 inches in length, but it has holders for needles so I was just wondering if it will hold 14 inch needles. I know the math says no, i was just hoping that its actually bigger than it said.
Thanks
No, but you could put 10" straight needles in the bag.
I have purchased all the materials to knit the Autumn Rose Pullover in mineral. I have queried knitpicks, ravelry and the internet in general to figure out how to substitute the mineral colorway for the autumn colorway. I have swatched. I am not able to reproduce the colors in the photo on the knitpicks website. I bought the yarns from knitpicks. please, please, please help. I am obsessed with this pattern and making this sweater. many thanks! Michelle

I sent an email about a week ago about how to care for the knitting tote (the ones in lime green) Because when i recieved it in the mail it had some sort of dirt and smudges on it. So I would love to know how to clean it. I tried dabbing it wih a cloth, but no use.
Sorry, don't know how to clean that, since it depends on what the dirt is. I guess I would have returned it. I didn't see your original post, but if I buy something new and it arrives broken or dirty, I send it back.
